“Aren’t you afraid?”
That is one of the most frequently asked questions since beginning this journey. And from the beginning it was a surprising question to me. Fear was not in my vocabulary then, nor is it now. What I do question is whether or not I should be afraid. Am I wrong not to fear? Should I worry about not being afraid?
We are such strange and emotional beings. Anyway, this week, the man in the big truck came and took the storage pod away. All of my worldly possessions and treasures went on their way to storage until I decide where and when I shall spend my future. I watched the first truck deliver the empty pod so I did not feel the need to watch this time as it left. Instead, I marched to the back of the house to shower. I think I was worried I might get worried and become afraid. I don’t really believe that but no sense taking chances.
Storage is so much cheaper than space rent which will allow me a decent cash flow as I venture out into the unknown. And everything will be safe until I need it. My focus now is on future adventures and on the road ahead. GO EAST fair maid. Well, I literally have no other choice since I’m leaving from the California coast.
Today I had a garage sale. The extras that I no longer need became someone else’s treasures. Because I am not sitting with JoJo watching TV but instead am writing to you, he has flattened himself on the floor of the empty living room and has continuously barked his little bark. My goodness, the acoustics are amazing. I need to finish this because he is driving me a little crazy.
It is interesting to think that, soon, I will be driving into the rising sun each day. Focus is my mantra at this point because, to lose focus would allow strange and emotional thoughts to enter into this brain; thoughts like, “Should I be worried because I’m not afraid?” FOCUS!
