And the sun is shining.
For the last week, it has been raining and cloudy and cold. The leaves are waiting to bud and the flowers hide. They dare not show themselves for fear of the morning frost.
I, too, hide from the same things the leaves and flowers have been hiding from: the rain, the clouds, and the cold. The trees and plants spend their time gathering sustenance, what is precious to them, and what they can bring when they are ready to meet the world. It appears that we are like-minded. I, too, have been gathering those things precious to me; those items I am willing to take out when it is my turn to burst forth into the world, eventually settling into my new forever home.
Choosing what will give me joy, and what is useful to my new lifetime has been a labor of love as well as a journey back into the archives of my memories. So many pictures of my growing years, and my family, and friends. Memories reinforced that I will take with me.
It took the rain, clouds, and cold to make me stay the course of my boxing journey. Who knew one could be grateful for lousy weather?
Today, as I walked up to the clubhouse, they were pounding the For Sale sign into the ground in my front yard.
And wouldn’t you know it…the sun was shining.

May the sun continue to shine in your heart and soul always. ❤️
Beautiful expressions, but sad you will be leaving us.
All good signs!
As they say in old New York “Nothing is forever.” I wish you many more exciting chapters for your book of life.
