You know, dear readers, how I have shared my dream of taking a road trip across the country to see the sights and to visit friends and relatives living across the States. The first step was to sell my house and so I put it on the market. We went through a month with no outside interest. One day, last week, a couple came driving through the park, just looking, and saw the For Sale sign. They checked with the office and came out the next day to look at the property. Then, I assume, they talked it over in the car before going back to the office with an offer. The deed was done. Of course, there is the paperwork and the escrow, but it looks like the sale is a done deal.

I sat on my couch that evening and came to the startling realization that my three-year dream was now more than a dream; it was quickly becoming a reality. I have, maybe, 40 days to get everything done that needs to get done. Even though I have packed many boxes already, and I have donated multiple items, there are still so many personal items to deal with. Then there is a storage unit to find. There are address changes to make. There is the preparation for moving day. And there is the getting prepared for the car “trip” I am going to take across country, preferably, soon after the move.

So, what has been, for so long a time, a quiet dream has suddenly turned into an action-packed near future. And, yes, it is startling. What does one do when faced with the sudden onslaught of so much change in a short time? One freaks out. Just kidding. I realized that God has His hand in the process, answering my request in His time. If He is working in this, then it must be the right path to take and the right time to do it. I wonder if He didn’t give me the dream itself. If God is in this, then I will be able to do everything. Day by day…
